Bill Spiegel has been a political activist since high school, when he stuffed envelopes for a friend’s father’s successful campaign for Queens County District Attorney in New York.  He stayed active in college and was instrumental in the UCLA Young Democrats first district-wide candidate endorsement mailer.  Upon graduation, Bill worked in the successful campaign of Howard Berman for Congress.  During his 25 years in California, he held various elected and appointed political and civic offices including Chair of the City of Santa Monica’s Social Services Commission, Member of the California Democratic Party’s Executive Board, Member of the California Democratic Party’s Central Committee, Member of the Los Angeles County Democratic Central Committee and President of the New Deal Democratic Club of Santa Monica.  Bill moved to Henderson in 2001 and was the driving force behind the re-start of the Henderson Democratic Club, which had been dormant for more than a decade, and served as the club's re-founding President.  Bill is married and works as a business consultant.
